Eve's Bar & Lounge has panoramic views of the Broads. It's a great spot for a cream tea, a pre-dinner drink, or a bar snack.
The Crooked Barn Restaurant serves a seasonal menu in a waterside barn.
Popular seaside towns Southwold and Great Yarmouth are less than 30 minutes' drive away. The Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve is also nearby.

The staff couldn’t do enough for us,lovely large and very warm bedroom (December).The food was delicious both the evening meal and the breakfast.

Great location just a short walk to Oulton Broad and not far from the sea. Fantastic restaurant located in the huge barn and our Superior room was perfect. For winter visitors, it could do with a fire and cosy seating in the bar but otherwise a super stay.

This was an excellent deal. The hotel is lovely & our room was large and very clean. Water was piping hot & shower was a good rain shower. Our room opened onto a small courtyard so you walked down a footpath to the restaurant and bar. Food was great, breakfast freshly cooked to order & evening meals excellent. The restaurant, Crooked Barn is a really lovely room. But what really makes this hotel so great is the staff! Everyone was so polite, friendly and welcoming, a real credit to the hotel. We shall definitely return.

From when we arrived till we left the hotel and staff provided a really enjoyable experience.
The restaurant and food on offer made for a lovely experience.
The hotel is just outside Lowestoft but we visited Southwold which was a pleasant surprise and well worth a visit or stay.
Would use the hotel again.

Careful on the approach road after the narrow bridge it is unmade and has a number of uncomfortable pot-holes, most of which can be avoided if you go slow.

It was our 3rd visit. Our room was upgraded with a bath which was a luxury as it was freezing outside. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble.

Ivy Lane leading to the hotel really requires some work to the surface. Would suggest a hotel sign at the top of Ivy Lane as we went by it not realizing it was the lane to the hotel.

This is my favourite hotel to visit. The area is by marshland & the broads. Great for walking. Wake up every morning to birdsong. Wonderful! The dining room barn is stunning. All the staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is delicious, & our dinner on the first night was lovely.

Was wonderful stay in gorgeous grounds.Staff couldn’t do anymore for you they were fantastic. Rooms are little dated but spotlessly clean. The food was also good and the whole stay was such great value with the Tripadvisor deal. The added bonus for us was they accepted and welcomed our furry friend Parker. He had a lovely stay too.

We have been visiting Ivory house country Hotel for over 25 years now on and off, We love Suffolk, if you want a peaceful relaxing weekend this is the place for you. Lovely walks around the hotel backing on to the water and boats.Southwold and Beccles Are nice places to visit.

Lovely little hotel right next to the wildlife marshes. We had an executive garden room which was very spacious. Service was very good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Couldn't fault anything. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
