A beautiful building and surroundings. The food was delicious and plentiful. We were made to feel welcome by the staff who were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend Broadoaks and look forward to going back.

Very good afternoon tea with a good selection of sandwiches, cakes etc with a Christmas touch. Ample tea and coffee. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Very quiet the day we visited so not much atmosphere. Would certainly visit again.

Hotel itself looked nice (very traditional and quaint), glass of prosecco was nice and scones were good.

some bread on sandwiches was hard, sandwich selection was quite poor - roasted pepper, egg, cheese, ham, smoked salmon, cake selection quite poor 4 cakes were the same (like a tray bake), 1 macaroon (there were 2 of us). 1 very small pot of tea. Savoury selection consisted of half mini pork pie & strange tart ? egg with pickle in bottom? - not sure what it was as we weren't told what anything was at service, no spoon for mousse given, no napkins given, didn't get asked once if we needed anything or if everything was ok.

Had a lovely afternoon, really lucky with the gorgeous sunshine towards the end of September meant we sat out in the gardens, afternoon tea served was delightful, a nice selection of sweet savoury, never visited before, however living within 20-30 Mon drive we'll likely be revisiting in the future

Not much atmosphere in the room - only 3 tables of 2 in the room. Savoury items were delicious. Sweet items were stodgy and samey - 2 cheesecakes, 1 marzipan cake, 1 flapjack with apple, 1 x macaron and 1 piece of fruitcake - think they need a new pastry chef with some imagination. Cheesecake bottom was soggy, cheesecake bottom in jar - no butter - just crumbly and dry. Marzipan cake - yuk, cheesecake topping - far too solid. No explanation given by the staff as to what any of the items on the stand were

Beautiful setting, a lovely selection of food, lovely polite waiter who looked after us and even asked it we wanted some more, which we didn't as we were completely stuffed. We even saw another group being supplied with plastic containers to take home what they hadn't managed to eat. A lovely day to to the lakes topped off with a lovely afternoon tea

It is a cute little place out of the way, but easily accessible from the main road. There is plenty of parking and nice surroundings for taking photos. The dining area is a conservatory, which is bright and airy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was interesting and varied between sweet and savoury. We ordered Prosecco for four and the waiter left the bottle to finish.

As many reviews had warned us, we could not manage to finish all the food and were provided with plastic containers and paper bags in order to take it home with us. What was there not to like?

A beautiful hotel in a picturesque location. The scenery is beautiful, the decor very interesting, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The afternoon tea was amazing! So much variety and plenty of food - and we were given containers and bags to take any leftovers home. We will definitely be coming back

Lovely atmosphere in this small, friendly country house hotel. We have a young dog and she was made very welcome. For those taking a dog, afternoon tea is served in the Music Room where there are comfy, sink-into leather settees, and a roaring fire on cooler days. The food is excellent and the accommodation is superb. This time we only had afternoon tea, bit we have stayed overnight previously and would highly recommend it.
