Had a very enjoyable 2 night stay. Staff very helpful and friendly, food in restaurant was very good and afternoon tea excellent. We had to change room due to a faulty shower and also because it was situated next to the office with constant telephone calls and conversations.

In vue of the cheap cost of our stay we were a little concerned about what to expect but were pleasantly surprised how nice things turned out.

Although the service was ok the food was dreadful, the full english breakfast was cold, served with a cold cup of tea. Our evening meal, the battered fish was small and the Dover sole was really thin and very small also tasteless, we also had afternoon tea which I have to say was the worst I've ever had all very tasteless!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Ringwood Hall Hotel. Saying that, there were a couple of niggles with our room. Firstly, when we arrived the window was open and there was no heat so the room was quite cold. When this was reported to reception the receptionist 'boosted' the heat and it was then ok. Unfortunately we had to go through this process 3 times in all. Secondly, the Roman blind at the window was broken. We were shown how to secure this open by hooking it behind the other window drapes. Not an ideal solution. I think if you are advertised as a 4 star hotel these problems should be addressed before the room is let.
Having said that we found the staff very friendly and approachable and the hotel grounds were very lovely. We had a bed and breakfast deal with afternoon tea on one day and an evening meal on the other, all of which we enjoyed.

Lovely location, set in spacious grounds and with pleasant gardens. The hotel building is nice, but rather dated and with an idiosyncratic layout. The food was nice and we enjoyed our afternoon tea as part of our deal.

Our room the Potting Shed was absolutely beautiful and we loved it, there was an elderly lady serving at breakfast and she was extremely friendly and helpful not like the others

On the second night we both ordered a roast dinner and one starter. Starter arrived quickly then we waited and waited whilst other people arrived ate and left so I had to tackle a member of staff and ask where our meals were, she said she would go and check but never came back, so eventually we went to the bar to finish our drinks and the staff saw us completely ignored us , nobody had the decency to apologise. The staff we very standoffish and weren’t very helpful. We couldn’t even get another drink as there was no one behind the bar and the other one was closed. All of this completely ruined our stay.

Lovely staff and we enjoyed a very nice evening meal, the room was nice, though and the bed was comfortable though we had a corner bath rather than a shower within the room which wasn't ideal.
Other Comments
Book early for the spa as there were no treatments available when we went.
