"Really good value for money. Lovely fresh sandwiches and a tasty sausage roll. A nice selection of cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam. Plentiful replenishment of tea requested. We had booked for Prosecco. And this was brought at the end of our afternoon tea. Would book again."

Although we enjoyed our afternoon tea we felt that the staff were not attentive enough. On arrival we were told the Prosecco would be served with the desserts but no staff came until we had almost finished and we had to ask for it and then he dropped it bringing it over.Despite this would still book again .

It is in a lovely position with gorgeous views. But the hotel deco was tired and faded and in need of an update and refurb.

the afternoon tea was not special - just ordinary - the sandwiches were un interesting and the cakes were boring. The scones jam and cream were nice as was the little cheesecake. For the price this was OK but if the hotel plans to sell this as a special tea at double the price I could not recommend it. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The deco could do with a major refurb and some pretty china would help. We would not go again unless the afternoon tea was seriously upgraded.

A pleasant experience in a nice setting with good service from helpful staff. The afternoon tea itself was acceptable but mediocre; we have had better elsewhere.

Booking was awkward. Very few options for time/date were given. They demanded Travelzoo code and PIN which we refused per Travelzoo T’s&C’s.

One of the best afternoon teas we've had. The prosecco was one of the tastiest too. The restaurant overlooks the gardens which in turn overlooks the river. Lovely setting. We will be returning and possibly to stay for a couple of nights to explore Ironbridge.
