Nice decor and usually a good ambiance but visited mid afternoon on a week day and were the only customers there this time, but pleasant background music. The food was very good and whilst very filling but not TOO much! Nice large cafetiere to go with.

sampler menus was definitely good quality produce, just not well balanced - lots of carbs (bread/cake based) in starters and desert platter. Soup & Cawl were stunning. nice place and excellent staff

Not too impressed with the 'Welsh' themed option so won't be having this again. However, the belly pork was excellent as was the cod and chips.

When we first arrived the staff member did not bring a menu & then asked us for our main menu choice, eventually brought a menu so we were deciding on which starter to choose, then a sharer tray was delivered. I think the staff should explain that there is a sharer platter for starter & desert and that we only needed to choose a main. As it was quiet they kept asking were we ok, so we had about 4 people ask us, when we had only just had starter.

If the problems with service could be sorted for both staff and customers , it would be a nice place to eat. Not sure I would choose the taste of wales menu again Though.

We felt very sorry for the staff on the day, everyone was complaining, as food was so late. They ran out of welsh cakes and had to have some brought in. There did not seem to be a good system of service, we were asked by three different waiting staff for our drink order. Therefore there was no coherent system and it basically went into meltdown which was not pleasant to watch . The starter was good, and although the main would not have been our choice , we didn’t d enjoy. The dessert was disappointing, the welscakes were dry and as I said they ran out and we had to wait for more to arrive. Other tables had a long wait for their starters so they seemed to be offering everyone free drinks.

Such a lovely menu as you got to taste a variety of Welsh dishes from starters to deserts, also had the option to change main meal and choose from main menu mains for a supplement, was fantastic value for money and such an enjoyable experience
