Pleasant surprise for drinks voucher to celebrate birthday. Staff exceedingly helpful and welcoming - nothing too much trouble. Location was superb and within easy reach of the city and walking distances from local villages. It was very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

It is easy to get to although it looks like it is in the middle of nowhere!. Although we didn't use it we guessed there was a charging facility for electric vehicle. If it is then perhaps the hotel could advertise it in their website and use it to their advantage.

A lovely Hotel & an excellent value break however we did personally find the restaurant very expensive, having to add to the two course allowance. The food was fine but we felt didn't warrant the prices. This is just an observation & not a complaint.

We had a fantastic stay at Hatton Court hotel. From the moment we arrived we was greeted by Claire who was very helpful. Went on to the restaurant for a cream tea and was served by Scarlett and her partner, Zac who were a lovely couple and couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. We had a lovely room and throughly enjoyed our stay. In the evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was great as were the breakfasts.

Good location for exploring the area. Warm welcome. Excellent food with attentive service. Lovely restaurant, bar & lounge areas. Nice out door seating on raised terrace, shame it overlooks the motorway but you can't have everything. Bedroom fine but bathroom was very tired & frankly a jaccuzi & shower arrangement is not good for 'the grey haired brigade' who are the normal clientel for Travel Zoo offers. Having said that we would return!

Voucher covered superior or executive room. We booked 2 nights and stated on our email that we wanted a superior room. On arrival nothing was said about the room. We were allocated room 15. It was a disappointment. It was a double bed not a king size. The furniture was chipped an dated with the noisiest wardrobe doors I have ever come across. Went back to reception and questioned whether was a superior room and was told it was "one of our better rooms". Checked with the hotel website and it was a standard room. The mattress was very soft and most uncomfortable. The noise from the kitchen ventilation system was very loud from 6 in the morning until midnight. We had two really uncomfortable nights. The break was to celebrate our wedding anniversary so we were unhappy with our room.
The experience was saved by the excellent food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed our two night stay at Hatton Court. The main part of the hotel is welcoming and friendly with a comfortable seating area and a nice big log fire. We stayed in tithe annexe, sympathetically designed to match the older building. First impression was tainted by the old and very stained hallway carpets but.our executive room in the annexe was well appointed and comfortable. The sink tap was a bit quirky but we had lashings of hot water and slept soundly.
We ate in the Tara restaurant on our first evening at the hotel and the food was excellent. Portions generous and well presented. Breakfast menu was varied and well cooked. Wines and bar prices as expected for a hotel stay. We also enjoyed a cream tea before leaving on Sunday afternoon. Warm scones and plenty of jam and thick cream in front of the crackling log fire. All in all a very nice mini break - a warm sanctuary over a wet February weekend.

What made this, our first stay at the hotel, memorable, was the excellent staff. Every one of them was friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in their visitors. Exemplary service on all fronts. They are a credit to the hotel.
