food wasn’t as good as last time we visited room had a funny smell had to move rooms as no hot water half way through stay decided to leave after one night booked for two

This was an excellent deal. The hotel is lovely & our room was large and very clean. Water was piping hot & shower was a good rain shower. Our room opened onto a small courtyard so you walked down a footpath to the restaurant and bar. Food was great, breakfast freshly cooked to order & evening meals excellent. The restaurant, Crooked Barn is a really lovely room. But what really makes this hotel so great is the staff! Everyone was so polite, friendly and welcoming, a real credit to the hotel. We shall definitely return.

All the staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed before the Christmas rush therefore it was not full which suited us

Careful on the approach road after the narrow bridge it is unmade and has a number of uncomfortable pot-holes, most of which can be avoided if you go slow.

A lovely place where most of the staff are really helpful and polite except for one woman on reception who was quite rude at times.(Dark hair and glasses)

Nice food with good ambience. Beware of the driveway leading up to the hotel there are many potholes so be very careful.

No hot water for most of the weekend. Damp / mould in room near bed. Had to ask for them to clean as it’s a health hazard. The hotel rooms really could do with a rwfurb Asked the receptionist to book us a taxi on Saturday morning for a restaurant booking we had that evening & despite taking all details she forgot to do it We booked the trip for us & as a treat to some friends & we were going embarrassed to have take.
