  • Low Wood Bay is an upscale contemporary resort built around a 19th-century former coaching inn. It's set on a hillside sloping gently down to the shore of Windermere.
  • Facilities at the resort include a 5-bubble spa with "breathtaking views" (Good Spa Guide). As part of this offer, you'll take a 3-hour Evening Thermal Journey. The outdoor thermal spaces comprise a lake-view infinity pool, hot tubs, and fellside sauna. Indoors, there's another pool, scented indoor steam rooms and saunas, and a herbal relaxation lounge.
  • Dining options include The W, which offers a seasonal British and continental menu. The setting is contemporary, colourful, and vibrant.
  • Pastries and sweet treats are served in the Atrium and the Langdale Lounge. Both look out on to the surrounding fells.
  • A 30-minute walk along the picturesque lake shore will bring you to Ambleside. From there, you can take ferries to Bowness and Lakeside piers.
  • Bowness-on-Windermere is known for its tea rooms and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction. It's around 10 minutes' drive away. There's also a bus that stops outside the resort.
Thermal Journey can be taken in Monday–Thursday evening sessions from 4pm onwards only. All reservations are subject to bedroom and Spa availability.
