"It was a really lovely hotel. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. The room was lovely but in the front of the hotel so there was traffic noise. If I stayed again I would ask for a room at the back.
Breakfast was very good with lots of variety and nothing was too much trouble for the staff."
The building dates back to 1905 and the design concept stays true to its history. The lobby chandelier is made of handcuffs and cell keys are embedded in the walls.
The erstwhile courtroom is now a lively cocktail bar. Expect original wood panelling, mugshots on the walls, and the judge's bench. Shakedown restaurant housed 22 holding cells back in the day. It now serves Italian specialities and its own-brand coffee.
Quirky artwork, created by local artists, features throughout. Forbes describes the guestrooms as "well sized" and the design "warm and welcoming".
Gourmet treats await at Borough Market. Alternatively, explore a plethora of bars and restaurants at St Katharine Docks marina. Both are less than 15 minutes' stroll from the hotel.
Walk along the South Bank past HMS Belfast towards Shakespeare's Globe and the Tate Modern.

Loved the feel of the building and the way the old court house had influenced the decor , the bar and the entrance. Breakfast was very good too, so all in all a hidden gem.

Fabulous hotel just 10 minutes from London Bridge Station. Buses stop close by. Staff very welcoming and helpful. When our taxi for the West End was cancelled by the company they went out to hail another for us. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful despite us not going down til 10, it being Sunday.

Yes. I was charged twice. I booked 2 rooms on the offer for 4 people. I was charged by the hotel on date of booking 31 October then again for both rooms on 1st November. Luckily several weeks later I noticed as I was charged on my credit card. I rang the hotel and was told to email reservations as it may be a holding charge. I didn’t get anywhere with that so I rang my credit card provider who raised a dispute. I didn’t then get anywhere refund of the overcharge. I rang the day before to make sure no more issues as this was a birthday treat for my husband. I was told everything was fine. However on the first morning at breakfast I was told for my daughter’s room only 1 person was registered so we had to pay for her partner. That resulted in another issue with reception and me having to produce booking confirmations from you. They said it was your fault not theirs as you supplied incorrect information. However fault it was it was not mine. I spent hours both before we travelled and at the hotel dealing with the various issues we had. It’s not acceptable this was supposed to be a relaxing birthday treat pre Christmas. It was anything but. I finally got my money back but if I had not spotted it would be a 100 pc overcharge. How would you feel?

We were told to take a seat in the bar and someone would serve us (we were happy to order at the bar) we waited ages and then I had to go back to the bar to ask someone to come over. (They were not busy) the. They had the cheek to charge us service charge for this poor service.

Wow! What a beautiful hotel with a fantastic ambience. The staff were all so helpful and polite - I called a couple of times in advance of our stay, and every person I spoke to both before and during the stay was incredibly professional and polite.
The hotel and room (we stayed in a Superior room) were both beautifully decorated and very clean. We had a small issue with our TV, so we called, and the phone was answered straight away. Then, immediately afterwards, somebody came upstairs and fixed the issue.
The staff are on par with or better than those we encountered during our stays at The Landmark Hotel.
The only slight downsides for us were that the water pressure in the shower was low (but this seems to be normal for London), the breakfast was average, and the bench we were placed on could have done with the crumbs being cleaned off in advance. The hash brown plate was left empty for quite some time too.
We parked at "The Circle Tower Bridge" (JustPark) and it is a 3 or 4 minute walk to the hotel.
A fantastic hotel, and I would love to stay again.

Stunning hotel. Lovely room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was ok but staff could be more organised to make the experience better for guests. No one took our coffee order and we had to ask. It was a little chaotic getting seated to either no explanation as to how the breakfast would be delivered eg self service but coffee order taken.
Hotel is 0.3 from tower bridge tube station and easy to find.

On entering the Hotel, I was amazed at the beautiful foyer and reception area. The staff were so welcoming and our room was sensational. Beautiful comfortable bed,in a beautifully decorated room. Fluffy towels , beautiful white robe and bedroom slippers were a very lovely extra. Penhaglian Toiletries. Wonderful extras that gave it a touch of luxury.

Super room size (and comfort) especially for London!
Breakfast had great selection of quality food. All staff were great and the hotel smells so good!!
Loved that it used to be the old Magistrates Court as I spent many years working in a courthouse !!

The breakfast and breakfast staff saved the day, thank god I only paid travelzoo prices for superior perhaps this was why we where made to feel inferior due to the fact that it was a travel zoo deal!

I was supposed to have been allocated a superior room however on reaching the room it was not of superior quality, due to the fact it took over 45 mins to check in as the staff were arguing amongst themselves on what rooms to allocate and had to even call manager who said that we had been given an upgrade which we had not as I had bought and paid for superior she made me feel substandard that I could not have a superior room as another guest had been allocated my room....very condemning and not great service.
it also took a great amount of time for the concierge to locate our luggage which was left with them earlier in the day.
Our room on reaching it was not a superior room and you could hardly swing a cat in it!

Reception and check in was an absolute car bunkle to the extent that I had to be given complimentary drinks in the bar. Left bags with concierge and took over 20 minutes to get bags back when requested.

Room a little small with easy chair, small stool and small table making it difficult to acces one side of bed. Window had obscure glass as it looked onto wall and did not open.
The hotel itself is 1st class and has kept significant parts of it's history, the staff are excellent +, the hotel is spotlessly clean and breakfast could not be better. Would return but would make sure the outlook from the room was better.

We had a three day stay at the Dixon Tower Bridge and had a wonderful stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location couldn't have been better - so central and easy to get anywhere.
Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was huge with a great walk in shower.
The bed was so comfortable and there was plenty of hanging space for clothes.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - we had everything, every day - a great way to start a busy day sightseeing.
We would certainly stay again and recommend this lovely hotel if you're looking for luxury at an affordable price.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better and just outside is a bus stop which is very convenient. Pubs and restaurants are within walking distance and Tower Bridge a short walk along the road.

Although we have confirmed that we enjoyed our visit, it was not without issues.
The first issue was with a Nespresso coffee machine which leaked water from its reservoir onto the surface of the unit on which it was situated. This was reported to reception but nothing appeared to be done to rectify the problem.
The second issue was a water leak which appeared to come from the WC. This was fresh water pooling between the toilet and the shower unit but as at that time we had not used the shower I assumed it was a leak from the fresh water side of the WC. I believe someone did investigate this issue as there were water splashes on the inside of the shower panel.
To be fair to the hotel, we did say that it was not an issue to us and to effect a repair, considerable dismantling would have to be made to get at the leak.
It would have been better if the hotel had reported back to us and certainly not all customers would be so accommodating.
Has anything being done about it since the room was vacated?

Very friendly, helpful, welcoming staff including a glass of fizz on arrival. A good sized bedroom , The king size bed was very comfortable. Excellent buffet style breakfast with good service. Very quiet location but walking distance to Tower Bridge and London Bridge stations, buses every 10 mins. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a little difficulty locating the hotel but once I found it, I realised its locations was good for the south side of the river. Sophia was at reception and dealt with all of my queries whilst I stayed at the Hotel. She was a very helpful member of staff.

There was some confusion over payment of my room. I had already paid before I arrived but they billed me at the end of my stay. I tried to get this resolved before I booked out of the hotel but it was not possible. I left it in the capable hands of Sophia but I was not happy that I left the hotel with it unresolved. I spoke with my bank who explained they could not stop the transaction from being in my "pending" as I had given over my card on booking in for "extras". They advised that the hotel had 5 working days to take the money. If they did this I would need to ask for a refund. Very disappointing. I was very nervous of this happening so I checked my bank account regularly over the coming week.
I should have had faith in Sophia, because the amount was not taken. It just left a bitter taste in my mouth after such an enjoyable stay.

The DIxon Tower Bridge Autograph hotel was perfect--had availability, very close to the city and major attractions including the Thames River. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend others to stay there.
