Why We Love This Hotel

  • The property is in Skipton, a charming town near the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Dales are known for their attractive villages full of stone cottages and cosy pubs. They also have many walking routes through river valleys and over wild moorland.
  • The hotel's conservatory restaurant overlooks the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. You can watch narrowboats glide gently by while dining.
  • Facilities at the hotel include a gym, an indoor pool, and a whirlpool spa.
  • The 900-year-old Skipton Castle is five minutes' drive away in the centre of town. It's one of the best-preserved Medieval castles in England. The beautiful ruins of Medieval Bolton Abbey are 15 minutes' drive away.
  • Take a ride on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. You'll travel from Bolton Abbey train station through the stunning Yorkshire countryside. The station is a 15-minute drive away, a few minutes from the abbey ruins.
  • Fans of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre will be in their element. The Brontë Parsonage Museum is a 25-minute drive from the hotel in Haworth. The sisters lived there most of their lives, penning their famous literary works there.

Very nice hotel, we went with our grandson. The onlyproblem we had was that our room was not ready at check in and we had to wait about an hour.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We paid extra for a canal room which I would definitely recommend. We had delicious breakfasts and dinner on the first night.

We charged drinks to our room and were disappointed to find that on checking the bill when we got home that although we had ordered the same drinks the prices were different. So if you charge to your room ask for a receipt when ordering drinks.
