Why We Love This Hotel
- The Grade-II listed house was built at the turn of the 18th century. It has "stunning modern interior design” (The AA) and set in 10 acres of grounds.
- The 4-star property recently opened the Aragon Treatment Rooms for wellness and beauty treatments. Travelzoo members will receive a 15% discount on pre-booked treatments as part of this deal.
- Oatlands Palace, built in 1538 by Henry VIII, once stood in these grounds. Monarchs, including Elizabeth I, James I, and Charles I, all resided there during their reign.

Second visit and equally enjoyable. Booked 1 Executive room and an upgrade for the other to De Luxe to treat friends. Quite tricky to arrange add-ons via Reception, but it didn't detract from our stay.

Highly recommended due partly to housekeeping and maintenance doing such an amazing job. Evening meal was good and breakfast is superb.

Everything was fine at the hotel and we had no problems. The only criticism would be on the deal there is only two starters, mains and sweets that do not incur an extra charge (these are not small charges) so choice is very limited so this effected my value for money score.

My choice of mains on the deal for our evening meal were enjoyable however my wife's selection were of poor quality and as it is only a limited selection she did not have much choice over the meal.

A wonderful hotel. Situated in Weybridge and as we were early strolled into town. You are able to walk around the grounds and river (just a shame about the wet weather). Room was lovely as was the food (for dinner and breakfast). Everyone we encountered were just lovely

We had a lovely time at the hotel. All the staff are friendly polite and helpful. They work hard. We had massages which were very good. Breakfast and dinner were also very good. We had a lovely room with a comfortable bed. Certain areas need attention but that did not detract from the enjoyment of the time we spent there

Really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Food at dinner was exceptionally good, as was the service.
Room was comfortable, although we would have liked a room with some sort of decent view, rather than a frosted window, but it did allow the light to come in. Room temperature controls worked well.

A very comfortable stay. Beautiful food. Tea tray could be better- uht milk pots but I felt there could have been a jug of milk in the fridge, herbal tea, hot chocolate. At breakfast it was a wonderful experience but I would have far preferred a small personal cafetière of coffee than an instant machine made one I made myself. Also I was told I wouldn't get bathrobes as it was "first come first serve" which I think is a completely unacceptable response.

There were a few young girls on reception who could be trained better at handling complaints in a professional way, at times I felt like I was speaking to a 15 year old girl doing a weekend job. There were other members of staff who were exceptional like Hamesh at dinner and also the bar tender who I believe told me was from Volta? He was wonderful. The massage I had at the spa was very expensive and the girl barely actually massaged me, her touch was far too soft and there was lots of rubbing and chopping but not much massage. She didn't get out any of my knots, she barely touched my neck and shoulders and my head was uncomfortable on the bed.

The bedroom was beautiful, although up quite steep staircases with no lift provision. We were however asked if steps were a problem.
The restaurant food was delicious. A lovely warm temperature in the whole venue, as well as attentive staff . The drinks prices were also very reasonable.

From check in to check out, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oatlands Park. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a great view over the lake.
The hotel is beautiful, the reception area spectacular.

Fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted so warmly at reception. They upgraded our room to a premium and took our bags to our room. The room was huge and beautiful and comfortable. The bed was huge. The restaurant is lovely (again, lovely staff who looked after us beautifully). Dinner was delicious. The ambience, Piano music and artwork and furniture was just beautiful.
The grounds are beautiful and grand.

Very pleasant stay. Big spacious hotel with beautiful landscaped gardens and a lake. We stayed for 2 nights as part of a Travelzoo deal which included 3 course dinner on first night with Prosecco and breakfast each morning. Food was delicious, hot and plentiful and lots of choice. Very nice staff as well. Big bedroom, (we were given an upgrade) large comfortable bed and pillows, modern and clean. Quiet at night.

Beautiful hotel but felt ambience was lacking and comfort missing. Bedroom was clean, large but lacking in any colour and interest. No pictures, bed coverings or comfortable seating in our room. Bed was very comfortable though. Dining room was virtually empty, as was the bar. Food was good but expensive if you chose somethings on menu despite evening meal being part of package. E.g salmon starter an additional £2 or £3? £5 for a bottle of water. Small touches lacking e.g brochures on attractions in local area being available, pen and paper, nicer toiletries in room. Some of the garden layout was lovely but actual space to walk round not very large. Had expected much larger grounds. Enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t go again.

Staff were all very friendly and professional however in the restaurant, perhaps they could 'clear away' a bit less often. Sometimes it felt as though we should hurry up so they could tidy up.
Despite this comment, I would recommend the hotel and hope to return one day.

The food served in the restaurant was of a very high standard so much so that after dining on our first night as part of our package, we booked for the following night.

The hotel is very centrally placed for great days out, we visited RHS Wisley, Richmond on Thames and Weybridge itself. A beautiful building in lovely grounds, some areas are due an update however this did not impact on a wonderful stay, we will be back!

An historical site set in a stunning parkland. The hotel is beautiful. Our executive room was very comfortable and had a wonderful view. It was also a joy to be in a room where the windows opened.
We enjoyed excellent cocktails, followed by an innovative and delicious 3 course meal. Just be aware, however, that the Travelzoo deal has a set menu: it's not the a la cart menu as advertised. But the choice was wide ranging. The staff were delightful. I'd definitely recommend this.

Room was big, just seemed a bit sparse and needed something to give it a bit more character. Nice bathroom and comfy bed.
Outside space good, but just needed some attention, a lot of weeds and garden areas were scruffy. Outside seating could be improved.

We stayed for 2 nights for the flower show and would happily have stayed longer. Our room was lovely, the service was excellent and the food was also good. Lots to do nearby and we took the bus to Hampton Court so you can leave the car where it is.

Lovely experience. All staff so polite and friendly. Room good size with large walk in shower. Lovely evening meal with a good choice on the menu although a couple of items were extra. Good size portions. Service excellent, not slow or rushed. Cocktails at the bar were expensive - £14 . Breakfast again was excellent. Only negative was the orange juice, which clearly wasn't made from oranges!

Can't recommend this offer and hotel highly enough - from arrival to departure, everything was perfect. We had a very large room with excellent air conditioning (it was one of the hottest days of the year), comfy bed and great shower in bathroom. We received a great welcome and we were very happy with our room - very clean and well appointed. Dinner in the restaunant ws really very good and we enjoyed the calm abiance and good service. Breakfast was busier but still with good service and the food was kept topped up. The food again was very good - great choice.

We knew check in was at 3pm but arrived at 1 - who knows timing with the M25 these days?? Was not expecting access to our room but was pleasantly surprised to find out that our room was ready. However, company policy was that as we were 2 hours early we could only get access if we paid £20. Of course we didn’t and ended up buying drinks and lunch outside the hotel. Such a silly company policy that only engenders ill will.

We went for the country ambiance and the luxury surroundings. We didn't expect a wedding venue, but it was an interesting experience. An African wedding reception on Friday, an Indian reception on Saturday. The wedding parties were wonderfully attired.

The restaurant was good. The breakfast was good, as hotel breakfasts go. The staff were uniformly excellent. This is a very large, very busy place. As busy and as (very) noisy as the hotel reception area was, our room was very quiet at night. The room itself was large and comfortable with a new bathroom. Quite nice.

The evening meal was delicious and despite resigning ourselves to a "set menu", we were given the full menu with appropriate supplements which was great for us.

The Reception Staff were excellent and very helpful. The Carvery on Sunday was fantastic and I would recommend going there on a Sunday. The breakfast was good. The menu and the evening meals were disappointing. The Bar Menu gave a good choice and the food we had was enjoyable.

Had an overnight stay with my mum as a treat for her birthday and it was utterly fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and professional, the hotel very clean and tidy and the atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful. The food, from dinner to breakfast was delicious and had great variety. The spa treatment was absolutely amazing, so relaxing and a great way to round off a brilliant stay. Huge thanks to the team at Oatlands Park!

A convenient location for purpose of work. A large grand building with acres of grounds to walk in (weather permitting). Plenty of parking.
The rooms are large but the bathroom tiny (in our case anyway)--presumably listed building restrictions. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the room worked. Complementary bottled water and tea/ coffee.
Dinner was adequate without being outstanding-both chicken and fish overcooked. Buffet breakfast was extensive but I do wish some fresh bread rather than sliced toast bread was on offer. All in all a good stay but not one to rave about-It seems more of an 'event' hotel than a cosy retreat.

Having said all the above I would loke to commend all the staff who were pleasant helpful and very approachable -actively asking if anything could be done. I'd particularly praise the two ladies on reception who were so positive, helpful and enthusiastic.--Keep them!!

This deal was excellent value for the price. It was a lovely hotel, we had a great room, nice shower, comfy bed, nice staff, great massages, great food, lovely view of the grounds. Our stay was a bit spoilt by a few silly small things that felt quite major which was a shame, as it so easily could have been 100% perfect.
The food at dinner was excellent but we waited an incredibly long time between our starter and our mains. I didn't time it, but I think it was nearly an hour. The staff apologised and did remove the service and some charges from our bill without us asking, which was good of them, so we did feel this was resolved. They said the kitchen was overloaded with room service requests. The restaurant was pretty empty by the time we got our mains and others who came in after us were served theirs before us, so I suspected they lost our order.
Breakfast the next morning was just a bunfight!! Food was lovely but if they can't cope with the amount of guests they should not take that many in. The primary issue was that they had one coffee machine for the whole restaurant which was packed to capacity. This led to people being unable to get coffee with their breakfast, having to queue for 20 mins to get coffee, unable to get a cup to put the coffee in as they kept running out etc. which was causing lots of bad feeling across the room. They could have just offered pots of coffee on the tables as such busy times to deal with the problem. The food was disappearing faster than the staff put it out due to the volume of people and lots of people were complaining all around us. The plates were all stone cold, although kept inside a dome on a hot plate. Again just silly and annoying.
They need more coffee stations, or could just put pots on the table at busy times, they could open another breakfast counter, or offer some things to order to take the weight off the buffet bar at busy times. I'm sure they could make the plates warm. More staff could make sure the things were refilled faster, they need another coffee machine, If they sorted this out this place would be amazing. I feel like I wouldn't rush back as the breakfast scramble made what should have been a relaxed end to our one night stay just very stressful and grumpy.
Staff were nice but I got the impression alot of them were new or in training.

The greeting on arrival was great, very friendly and took interest in us.
Treated ourselves to cream tea which was fabulous, warm scones, yummy jam and cream and good tea.
Dinner was very good and nice touch when the staff brought out a slate plate with Happy Birthday scroll and nice square of chocolate cake and raspberries, which was unexpected and a very nice touch.

It was our 54th wedding anniversary and from the general manager’s prior phone call to us to the lovely reception and restaurant staff, our welcome could not have been warmer. It’s a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. We would very much like to return there soon.

Super people, super food, the only disappointment to us was that although our executive king room had windows to 3 aspects , they were all frosted out to save us from views of roofs and walls. We only stayed 2 nights and the weather was wonderful allowing us to sit out, so the lack of a view was bearable.
10/10 for all the staff, thank you, you make the hotel special.

Rooms were quiet, very large and comfortable. Bed great! King size bed was very comfortable with great supportive pillows. I am very fssy when it comes to pilows, they need to be just perfect. These were prefect! Waiters service in the restaurant was explemary, breakfast and dinner. The food was good - one of the starter courses was quite poor, eaten the same dish elsewhere, which was far better.
In all very good hotel. I would definately recommend this hotel.

I spent my wedding night there in 2005 and remembered the long driveway, whereas now it just feels like a posh housing estate with the hotel at the end.
The rooms although large were sparsely furnished and there was no luxury in them. The shower had a handheld/could be secured shower rather than a power shower Plus weeds were growing outside the bedroom window so that view had an unkempt look.
Booking included an a la carte menu, but around half the items had a surcharge, which was ridiculous, steak I understood but lamb!
Queuing to use the one coffee machine at breakfast again lowered the experience of being in a grand country house and the idea of luxury.

Had a relaxing night away, room had been refurbished but woodwork around the windows needed attention. View from the room over the lake was beautiful once you got over the hotel paths and patios which were full of weeds and looked a bit shabby. Was also disappointed that although the offer included 3 course a la carte dinner, it was actually the set menu that was included - I had to pay £23 in supplements as there were basically extra charges if you chose certain dishes on the 'a la carte' menu so think that was incorrectly advertised by Travelzoo. Breakfast was amazing.

Superb looking hotel set back on its own scenic driveway. Service from the staff was very good accross the board. Bed was large and comfortable. The Evening meals were excellent, breakfast was as good as could be expected with cereals, usual cooked breakfast options. We would definitely visit this hotel again if the same or similar offer is available.

It is between 2 airports so there will be noise from planes. The rooms seem to have single glazed windows (in keeping with its age and style). Due to it being set back on its own drive there was no road noise but it may be an issue on busy nights as the tudor wing was near the bar area and the front door.

This was a treat for my 70th birthday. The hotel is lovely and the staff are great. We stayed in an Executive Double room and it was very impressive with a hallway, walk-in shower and a large bedroom overlooking the gardens. I found the bed and pillows extremely comfortable and had a great nights sleep. The dining room is very grand and the food was superb. We were on a special TravelZoo deal and some items on the menu attracted an extra charge, but these were very reasonable. I would reccoment this hotel and we will be staying again.

The hotel was cold, we were charged £10 for table water, a 12.5% service charge was added to our bill without asking, and the people in the room next to us were banging, shouting and having friends and room service in and out of their room until 1am.

A welcoming and beautiful hotel in spacious grounds with so much history oozing from it! The ambience was relaxing and sophisticated, we arrived on a Sunday at lunchtime and there was a classical quartet playing in the dining room, which was pleasant to hear ( better than the music playing over the system when we had our evening meal and breakfast, where we spent our time trying to guess the songs being played on a violin..
The food selection at breakfast was fabulous and the staff were very attentive and professional.
The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, I was hoping to see a bath but it was a modern walk in shower but that did the job.

We had a massage included in the deal but they could not fit us in on our date of arrival. However, we have been given an alternative date (we live reasonably near the hotel) so we have not lost out!"
It was very gracious of the management to do this for us and we also appreciated the complimentary prosecco with our evening meal for our anniversary.

the whole experience, service, staff, food wine selection, location were excellent. The Restaraunt Manager could not have been nicer. We were given great tables, the service was superb. The Jazz Sunday Brunch I can highly recommend. The value for money was good. I can highly recommend this hotel. The rooms big and spacious and the quality was just spot on.

There was a wedding party in reception when we arrived so there was nowhere for us to sit and have a drink and relax after we had arrived. Do you not have a lounge?
Would have liked a coffee machine in our executive room and more toiletries.
I was disappointed in your grounds, would have liked to have walked down to and around the lake. The pathways lead nowhere, it could be wonderful with some vision.
