The Queens Hotel has a heated indoor swimming pool. There's a restaurant, bar, and lounge that hosts a weekly entertainment programme.
Paignton Beach is less than five minutes' walk from the hotel. Turn left, to walk along the sands toward Paignton Pier, or right for Paignton Harbour.
The unique landscape of the English Riviera has been designated a UNESCO Global Geopark. The horseshoe-shaped coastline and Tor Bay shelters a wealth of marine life—including seals, porpoises, and dolphins.
The seaside town of Torquay, birthplace of Agatha Christie, is around 15 minutes' drive away. So too, Brixham, which is built around its picturesque fishing harbour.
Hop aboard the Dartmouth Steam Railway from Paignton. The journey weaves its way by Goodrington Sands, the Dart Estuary, and on to Kingswear.

Thoroughly enjoyed stay and entertainment was good. Room slightly dated but great for a base for exploring area.

Great location, staff very friendly and helpful. Room a bit dated and small but very comfy beds. Would have been nice to have a double room that the website said it would be but had a twin. Food very nice and a lovely quiet area night times.

We chose this hotel as a dog friendly break away. The staff are very professional and friendly, the food is of a high standard and heated pool is a bonus. We look forward to visiting again.

Hotel including the room was very tired and tatty. Shower trickled out water and then broke away from the wall when I took tje shower head from its stand. Taped back with duck tape because no maintenance person available. 2 staff members very gruff and rude in the dining room. This stay was not good value I’m afraid.

Rooms basic but clean white towels & bed linen. Comfortable beds. We had 3 rooms in total, one of which had a very small bathroom but we managed for a couple of nights. Any longer would have been annoying.

The staff, especially dining room & bar worked extremely hard to accommodate our requirements, they were on the ball, service was quick with time for banter & pleasantries.

The staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. We had a free upgrade to our room which was larger than the standard room with an extra single bed. The room was clean and comfortable with adequate storage and hanging space. We were allocated a table in the dining room for the duration of our stay. The food at the hotel was good value for money with a reasonable choice from the menu. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening, both the bingo (3 games max) and the magician/comedian. There is a different entertainer every night. The parking at the hotel is limited (which I was warned about) however there is ample parking at their sister hotel, The Palace which is a 10 minute walk away. We had to obtain a temporary pass from The Palace reception. The hotel is very well situated close to the harbour, beach, main railway station, steam railway, bus station and shops. we used our bus passes for free travel to Torquay which was very convenient and save the worry and expense of finding somewhere to park. Buses to Brixham, Torquay and beyond run very frequently. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location in a quieter part of town ,in easy walking distance of train station & promenade .The room was small but clean with a comfortable bed and small shower room. Our room faced west which got quite hot in the afternoon. The hotel caters for coach parties and entertainment is provided most nights.
Food was simple and well cooked but with fairly limited choice.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Overall good value for money.

Hotel location is down a side street, difficult to find. Had we known it was a coach trip hotel would not have booked. Noisy, inconsiderate late into the night, coach blocking the exit from the carpark due to excursion departure time. Definitely not value for money when coach customers got the same deal for £36 per person. Im not expecting a response but it would be appreciated if I could speak to a travelzoo staff member about this.

Pleasing that additional parking was offered at the sister hotel, 5 minutes walk away, as hotel parking was full. Waiting staff were pleasant and constantly on the go. Disappointed with the portion size in some of the evening meal dishes, especially the melon starter. Two thirds of a thin slice of melon, half a strawberry and half a grape isn’t a starter! However, the cheese board was good.

Arrived at hotel to find booking had made by phone was not there! However the receptionist was very helpful and found us a tiny room with the smallest shower I have ever seen! I just hope that if they had registered our booking properly after I phoned our room might have been a little larger

Hotel seemed to cater more for coach parties. Room very small. Food not really what we expected. Although breakfast the second day was part of the package. We chose to pay for breakfasts at another location. Sums it up really. Not dreadful but a below average experience. Staff very cheerful though.
