Criccieth Beach is a 5-minute stroll from the hotel. Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) is 15 minutes' drive away. You can see both the mountains and the sea from the hotel.
The clifftop ruin of Criccieth Castle is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It offers views along the southern coast of the peninsula and over to Harlech.
The Llŷn National Landscape occupies more than three quarters of the peninsula. Discover walking and cycling routes, secluded beaches, small fishing villages, and 100 miles of coastline.
Frommer's describes Criccieth as one of the "best towns on the peninsula". The Llŷn Coastal Path also passes through and continues around the peninsula to Caernarfon.
Portmeirion, made famous in the TV series "The Prisoner", is 20 minutes' drive away. This Italianate village was designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis.

In addition to it being a good deal for two nights, there was an additional offer of 10% off food and drink. Food - pub grub and not a huge choice - was very good and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful, room comfortable and warm and Criccieth itself delightful.

Very impressed with the door sign that could be used to put on your door at night if you had hearing problems. Some people feel that would make them vulnerable . So hotels should be gaining this information as part of their booking in process and keeping a daily tally for guests who may be at risk during an evacuation.

A traditional hotel very conveniently located for the town/ beach and exploring the North Wales coast. It’s not a luxury hotel but is comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and good value for money. We were allocated a double en suite room with an adjoining twin bedded room. The bed was very comfortable and although we faced onto the road it was very peaceful. No fancy toiletries but the towels were soft. Small tv and simple tea/coffee tray. The Welsh self service breakfast was generous and restaurant staff friendly and professional. Easy to park - we arrived late and the hotel car park was full but no issues finding a space on the road.
